  • Watched around the clock Health checks run every few minutes, and an operator hears about a failure before you do.

  • Hosted in the EU We run your application and store its data in the EU, on Amazon Web Services infrastructure.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I sign in for the first time?

A new Umami starts without an account of yours. Once it is running, open it in your dashboard and create the administrator: you choose the email and the password, and we never store the password. To set a new one, do the same again. You will also see a service account named poof-service in the user list. The panel uses it to set your password, so leave it in place.

Where does my data live?

In the EU, inside a stack that runs only your Umami and is not shared with other customers.

Can I move my existing Umami here?

Not through the panel yet: there is no import tool and no shell access to the instance. Start fresh and point your tracking snippet at the new address. The history of the old installation stays where it is.

Do you back up my data?

Not yet. We don't currently make backups of Umami or its data. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose. It's on our roadmap.

Is this the official Umami service?

Umami is an independent open-source project. Poof runs it for you as managed hosting and is not affiliated with or endorsed by its authors.
